Excellent Wire-Free Harris Mic/Earpiece Solution

I work long shifts in a secure facility, where the Harris radios often have defective hand mics (to say nothing of the hygiene & health issues of sharing and breathing over hand mics). My unit radio only had one radio battery, so I needed to maintain mobile radio comms whilst leaving the radio on charge - when I saw this Bluetooth adaptor I knew it was a Godsend. Powered from the radio - works great.

I have paired my Bluetooth headset with it so that I can be hands-free whilst on the move. The BT finger PTT works in tandem.

When my headset runs out of battery I just plug in the Sheepdog mini mic/earpiece that I also bought from CommGear, carry the radio with me and charge the headset whilst I'm on the move.

I initially bough a full-size speaker-mic from CommGear, which I keep handy as a back-up. Great company. Excellent service.

So far, so good. Everything connected easily and paired with the PTT and my earbuds. Super happy to get rid of my lapel mic and wired ear piece.

As advertised

So far everything is working great. Hooked it up to my in ear Beats and now the transmissions are clear and crisp. I can also send transmissions using the microphone in the earbud. Very good for covert or overt work.
