The BF-F8HP represents the third and final generation of the UV-5R series. Notable new features of the BF-F8HP include three selectable power levels (Low – 1W, Medium – 4/5W, High – 7/8W), an improved high-gain antenna (7 inches) not available in earlier models, and the return of the customizable tri-color display absent in the second-generation UV-5Rs. Additionally, the BF-F8HP is accompanied by a comprehensive 76-page user manual, providing detailed guidance on all the new features.

Much like its little brothers (the BF-F8+ and the UV-5R) the BF-F8HP maintains full cross accessory compatibility with all previous UV-5R accessories.

    Great help with customer service helping me build out a push-to-talk tactical comms system around my Peltor Comtac V's that I already owned. The customer service department immediately responded back and guided me through all the options regarding what components I needed that would be compatiblewith my Peltor Comtac V's that I already owned. Helping select the compatible Peltor Boom Microphone, Y-Harness, Push-to-talk, and B-Tech BF-F8HP two-way talk radio, completing the entire process quickly and having the entire system shipped out in the late afternoon, receiving it 2 days later. Upon receiving I immediately called Tony back as he walked me through the connection and assembly process, at one time even having me email him photos to ensure that all the connections were correct and working properly. Tony made the online shopping process easy and successful.
