Must I assemble the Evo with tools? No, the Evo arrives ready-to-fly.
What is the Evo camera’s maximum video definition? 4K ultra-high-definition @ 60 fps.
Does Evo’s camera also shoot 1080p video? Yes. If you want to use less memory you can shoot 1080p at 60fps.
What is the resolution of still photos? 12 MP.
Can Evo capture stills in bursts? Yes.
Can Evo track moving subjects? Draw a box around the subject onscreen and Evo will lock on, following the subject as he moves.
Can I add memory? Yes, by installing a microSD card up to 128 GB that you supply.
What types of microSD cards are compatible? Class 10 or UHS-3.
How accurate is hovering? Highly accurate: to within 5 feet horizontally and 8 inches vertically using GPS, and to within 4.5 inches horizontally and vertically using vision sensors and the IMU.
Can I fly in hot and cold temperatures? Yes. The Evo operating range is 32F-104F.
Does the Live Deck have an internal battery? Yes, with a runtime of about four hours. You also can power it from a battery bank that you supply.
How long can I fly on one charge? Fly 25 to 30 minutes, depending on conditions.
How long does it take to recharge a battery? 60-80 minutes.
How many batteries does the Tactical Bundle recharger accept? Four at a time.
Does the charger replenish all the batteries at once? Recharging is sequential, starting on the battery that has the most reserve to reduce the wait, then moving on to the battery with the next-highest reserve, and so on.
How do I know if a battery is charged? The charger signals charging status with an LED.
Will I lose my drone if the battery runs down during a flight? No. The flight program monitors battery reserve onboard the aircraft and automatically activates Return To Home if power gets too low. At 25 percent reserve it sends a warning. If the pilot overrides the process, an uninterruptible Return To Home activates when battery reserve becomes critical.
What happens if my control signal is lost? Return To Home activates automatically.
Can I activate Return To Home voluntarily? Yes, with one button.
Can I move the home location while the drone is in flight? Yes, but you’ll need to use the flight app to tell Evo where the new home is.
Is landing difficult? It’s automatic. Evo uses GPS to return safely to its takeoff point when Return To Home is activated.
Does Live Deck operate independently of the controller? Yes. It does not have to be connected to the controller.
How far away from the aircraft can Live Deck receive video transmission? Up to 4.3 miles.
Can I power Live Deck from a wall outlet? Yes. A micro USB port and included cord allow you to power the Live Deck from a wall outlet power supply or battery bank that you supply.
How many video outputs does the Live Deck have? Three: HDMI, Ethernet and USB-C.
Can the Live Deck video outputs be used simultaneously? Yes.
How do I update firmware? Use the controller and a smartphone to connect, download the upgrade, then disconnect. The upgrade will be stored in your controller.
